This is Martin's QE feedback for this chapter:

"Feedback for Chapter 7. Monitoring 

* The first sentence should be probably as follows:

Infinispan Query provides access to statistics and operations related to indexing. 
The statistics provide information about classes being indexed and entities stored in the index. 
Lucene query and object loading times can also be determined by specifying the generate_statistics property in the configuration.

== 7.1.2. About JMX

* I'm not sure what this topic should look like. What I know is that IndexControl MBean is not available as well as IndexProgressMonitor.
I'm aware of these MBeans only: StatisticsInfo, MassIndexer

* sections 7.3. IndexControlMBean and 7.4. IndexingProgressMonitorMBean should be removed then. 

Note: Chapter 7 should be completely reworked as, IMO, it does not provide any useful information. Please ask SMEs to provide more info on this chapter (anistor, sanne)"

We need to implement the above (carefully to not disturb the HS stuff) and then to follow up with SMEs about information for the missing features. If it is unclear what information needs to be added, Martin may be able to point us in the right direction.

Mandar, start by implementing the existing QE advice and then follow up with anistor or sanne on Monday.

Adrian are you able to provide any further information on this chapter regarding missing content, anything that should be removed etc?

Mandar, what should I verify here? Chapter 7 is still incomplete and does not provide any useful info. IndexControlMBean and IndexingProgressMonitorMBean are mentioned as well while they should be removed. Let me know what to do. Thanks

The Infinispan user guide was incomplete but I fixed it now and the following sections provide the info you are after:

Regarding query statistics, the current text in JDG user guide is partly wrong because the described way of enabled statistics is not the recommended way (it can work sometimes but is buggy). Infinispan provides another recommended way to do it.
