Description of problem:

Even though having the ability to create new templates in ~/Templates and creating new files from them is great, the initial absence of 'New File' in context menu might be confusing to users coming from different environments and it's not exactly intuitive (in fact it's the complete opposite).

Proposed behaviour:
Add a new entry into 'New File' sub-menu, called, e.g 'New Template' which would create a new empty file in ~/Templates and subsequently open the directory in a new window. 

In addition to this, there could be some frequently used templates by default. Such as empty file, text document, spreadsheet, presentation...
