Description:

Rapid cloning provides the capability in nova to boot from volume in an automated way without the need to do manual operations of downloading disk images and then copying it to the cinder volume. It also does not need specifying special block device mapping information during instance boot up. It provides additional performance benefits. It makes use of volume cloning feature in cinder.
