Description RHOS Integration 2013-12-12 16:09:11 UTC
Cloned from launchpad blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/nova/+spec/vmware-image-os-identification.

Description:

Nova Instances are reported to vSphere as Guest OS: "other" this means that some tools cannot operate with the Guest Operating System to install VMtools or other in-guest tooling. Being able to specify the guest OS in the image and then set up the new Instance as being a member of (for example) "Debian 6 64-bit" could be extremely useful to cloud operators.
