Description RHOS Integration 2013-12-12 18:32:31 UTC
Cloned from launchpad blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/cinder/+spec/cinder-agent.

Description:

cinder-agent is a client-side service of Cinder to attach/detach volumes.
Now Cinder has many server-side drivers for volume service and nova-compute has
client-side drivers to use it. If other software like CloudStack, OpenNebula and so
on use Cinder, they will have to implement their own client-side drivers for Cinder.
But they don't have to do it for Quantum because it has client components (agents).
So cinder-agent provides an easy way to use Cinder by them like Quantum.
