Description:

It should be easy for the user to get the total number of stacks they have, without having to loop over all of them (which can potentially be a large number, be paginated, or both).  Furthermore, once stacks support filters, it will also be useful to get the number of stacks that match a certain criterion (e.g. number of failed stacks).
