Description RHOS Integration 2013-12-12 22:06:53 UTC
Cloned from launchpad blueprint https://blueprints.launchpad.net/neutron/+spec/nsx-integrated-services.

Description:

This is a follow up blueprint to:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/neutron/+spec/nvp-dhcp-metadata-services

This blueprint introduces the following:

- add support for NSX provided dhcp services
- add support for NSX provided metadata services

This blueprint also tracks the effort to provide a migration path for plugin users who want to move from the old model (agent-based) to the new one (agentless).

The NSX feature is not currently GA, and will be supported sometime during the NSX 4.x life cycle.

As for Neutron users, current known limitations are:

- Users will be limited to creating a single subnet per logical network (due to limitations of patch attachments of NSX lswitches)
