Patch pushed, commit 9d31258. Verified on anaconda-19.31.51-1.el7, there is no need to setup network to install from local source in textmode. Created attachment 838394 [details] screenshot Description of problem: If you are trying to install rhel7b e.g. to a MacBookPro5,3 you cannot start the installation (this is due to being text mode and not finding a network card) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. press alt key on boot 2. choose EFI Boot 3. in grub choose Troubleshooting --> Install .. in basic graphic mode (it won't start X so you end up in text mode) go through steps 2-4 4. 2: Europe/Zurich 5. 3: Automatic partitioning selected (always selected default (c) whole disk, lvm 6. 4: test12345 (answer yes when complaining about weak password) 7. 6: leave minimal install for now 8. line 7 shows like this: <quote> 7) [!] Network settings (No network devices available) </quote> 9. enter 7, select one and enter test as a hostname 10. it just shows a <quote> 1) Set hostname </quote> Actual results: Point 7 remains "!". Expected results: Installation from DVD should be able to proceed without need to configure a network card Additional info:
