Moving this to Rawhide and marking as an RFE so it doesn't get auto-closed. What will it take to get this done? It would be great to get the built in encryption feature. There's 1.4.16 now, which specifically mentions fixing a Fedora issue. http://synergy-foss.org/blog/synergy-1-4-16-released/ 1.5 is ready. I think we need to start nonresponsive maintainer process. I have been emailing with Christian and offered to co-maintain Synergy with him but he's on vacation at the moment. In the mean time I have been working on Synergy 1.5 and this has taken a little time to sort out as upstream bundles the crypto library cryptopp but rest assured, things are happening. :) There is a copr available for testing: http://copr.fedoraproject.org/coprs/opuk/synergy/ Looks like 1.5 has hit rawhide: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=567130 Meantime, 1.6.2 is out: https://github.com/synergy/synergy/releases 1.6.2 is now available in rawhide. Can we get 1.6.2 available in F21? 1.4.16 is broken, the server will not accept 1.5 or newer clients. Synergy is still at synergy-1.4.10-6.fc21.x86_64.rpm in F20 and F21. F22 and Rawhide are at synergy-1.6.2-1.fc22.x86_64.rpm. This needs packaged and released to bring it up to date. synergy-1.6.2-1.fc21 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 21. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/synergy-1.6.2-1.fc21 Package synergy-1.6.2-1.fc21: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 21 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing synergy-1.6.2-1.fc21' as soon as you are able to. I grabbed the F21 SRPM from koji and built it in mock without issue for F20. I'm keeping my desktop (the synergys machine) at F20 until some other bugs are resolved. I've been using it for several days now and it seems to have cleared up several of annoyances I've run into in the past. synergy-1.6.2-1.fc21 has been pushed to the Fedora 21 stable repository.
