Description Robert McSwain 2013-12-18 18:24:59 UTC
Description of problem:
Gnome Power Management Activates Too Early with the following settings:
Gnome -> System -> Preferences -> Power Management -> Put display to sleep when inactive for: to 30 minutes. Also with the settings of 1 hour as well as set to never.
In both cases the monitor darkens (suspends, not sleeps) after less than 15 minutes.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-power-manager-2.28.3-7.el6_4.x86_64

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
Gnome -> System -> Preferences -> Power Management -> Put display to sleep when inactive for: to 30 minutes and observe behavior.

Actual results:
The monitor suspends after 15 minutes.

Expected results:
The monitor sleeps instead of suspends at the specified time

Additional info:
This exists in RHEL 6.5 as well

The bugs seem to be identical ? same component, no differentiating info in the cloned bug
