Description Tommi Kyntola 2013-12-19 07:58:21 UTC
Description of problem:

I cannot add back my mobile broadband connection.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

kde-plasma-nm-0.9.3.2-1.fc20.x86_64
ModemManager-1.1.0.2.git20130913.fc20.x86_64
NetworkManager-0.9.9.0-20.git201310003.fc20

How reproducible:
every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open connection editor (kde-nm-connection-editor)
2. select add
3. select any of the devices and click next

Actual results:
nothing, the pop up goes away and the actual connection edit popup never shows up

Expected results:
a new connection popup open for edit

Additional info:
lenovo x1 carbon, ericsson 0bdb:1926 3g modem

The mobile broadband _did_work_. I upgraded from f19 where things worked well. The connection remained and worked at f20 (after I reinstalled modemmanager and enabled it again), but as it kept popping up the popup for pin after every suspend I decided to wipe delete the old connection entry and re-add it. Now I can't get it back at all.

The kde-nm-connection-editor doesn't print anything to console when it fails to bring up the popup.

Try to install kde-plasma-nm-mobile subpackage.

Comment 2 Tommi Kyntola 2013-12-19 12:29:33 UTC
That did the trick! Thanks.

Closing this as "NOTABUG" as it's not a bug as such, but perhaps some error print or a dependency tweak might be in order.
