Description Bill Sanford 2013-12-19 16:01:30 UTC
Description of problem:
I installed a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server on RHEV-M 3.3 and installed the tools-ISO on the guest, without issue. When I tried to install the qxl-win-0.1-21 (Downloaded the qxl_xp_x86.zip on the VM), the install stopped and displayed an error about being the wrong platform.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEV-M 3.3 (is26)
Windows 2003 Enterprise Server

How reproducible:

Additional info:

On the http://www.redhat.com/resourcelibrary/articles/enterprise-linux-virtualization-support web page, it says that the guest is optimized and clearly it is not.

Bill, Hi,

Which version of windows server 2003 did you use? enterprise/not, which service pack installed? not sure it matters but downloading is a hassle. Thanks,

Alon

Alon, I used Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition.

As a FYI:

The Windows Server 2008 QXL Driver will work nicely in Windows Server 2003 R2.
