gkrellm icon is not shown correctly in Menu (I am using openbox). Also, the graphics viewers/editors report errors and can not load icon gkrellm.png (mirage,ristetto) or show only upper part of it (feh, gimp). For example,

$ feh /usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/gkrellm.png
libpng error: IDAT: invalid distance too far back

The new libpng16 is a reason for that. As I understood, it is not a libpng16 bug and broken icon has to be fixed. There is a tool shipped with libpng-1.6.3 that helps out.

$ pngfix --out=gkrellm-fixed.png gkrellm.png
IDAT TFB maximum 11 13 2050 6134 gkrellm.png

It will fix the issue in Fedora 20 and later versions.

I don't have a setup to test this with at the moment, but I ran the icon through optipng which not only caused the pngfix output turn to OK, but also cut down a few kB in size.
