Description Justin Clift 2014-01-07 15:26:01 UTC
Description of problem:

At present (Gluster 3.4.x), when someone wants to change the IP address
or hostname for a Gluster server, they need to modify several internal
configuration files in /var/lib/glusterd/vols/<volname>/bricks by hand.

A utility to update these files correctly from the command line is
worth considering, as it would reduce user error.

Note, there's no need for the utility to communicate over the network
itself. We could just tell people to ensure it's run on each server
and client node (or whatever is appropriate), then to restart GlusterFS.
