Description of problem:
Aooting images from volumes, when Cinder is configured to use the EMC iSCSI driver(*) driver, fails with : TypeError: Unsupported parameter type

* cinder.volume.drivers.emc.emc_smis_iscsi.EMCSMISISCSIDriver

Attached is the trace. NOTE: attaching volumes to instances booted from images works as expected.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a bootable volume
2. try to boot an instance from volume

hi Lars, I don't think so, but this was affecting the icehouse release ... we'd need to see if it is reproducible on a newer release

hi Benny, do you know if this bug is affecting the RDO/juno or RDO/trunk?
