I don't recall any QA ack for upgrading Mojarra to 2.1.27 in 6.2.x. It is quite a large set of changes for a CP, so I'd prefer to have it in 6.3 only. Have a backport with only the required fixes been considered?

They are two cases [1][2] (two different issues) waiting on this upgrade. We've already promised specifically Mojarra 2.1.27 in EAP 6.2. The customer on case 00980270 [1] expected 2.1.27 in EAP 6.2.1 (Patch Update 1) and we recently apologized for the delay and confirmed that JSF 2.1.27 will be included in 6.2.2 (Patch Update 2).
