Upon attempting to drag xterm window to primary display, gnome-shell crashed, restarted and finally allowed placing xterm window on primary display--leaving the qemu-kvm window on secondary display. reporter: libreport-2.2.0 backtrace_rating: 3 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: meta_bug executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell kernel: 3.13.6-200.fc20.x86_64 package: gnome-shell-3.10.4-1.fc20 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGABRT runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 As noted by @Andrey\ Motoshkov, the two displays have different resolutions; in my case, I attempted to drag full-screen xterm window from external display (1280x1024 5:4 Aspect Ratio) to primary display (1920x1080 16:9 Aspect Ratio). Another user experienced a similar problem: 1. Moving a window from secondary desktop to the right overview colums to move it to a new desktop (between two existing ones). 2. The window appears on that desktop, but still on the secondary desktop. 3. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.
