This is a tracker bug for upgrading netty in Rawhide to version 4.0.14.Final (from 3.6.6.Final) after agreeing to do this on IRC/mailing list.

This update most probably will introduce some issues on packages requiring netty, since this is a major upgrade. If your package does not build - please make any effort to upgrade to version 4 - introducing netty3 compat package in Rawhide should be treated as last line of defense.

Netty was upgrade in Rawhide, and a netty4 compat package was added to F20. For those package that cannot migrate to Netty 4 in Rawhide immediately a netty3 compat package was created.
