Is the samba-common package installed? I experienced the same problem upgrading from Red Hat Linux 6.0 to 6.2. I did not experience this problem upgrading another machine (a Sony Vaio) from 6.1 to 6.2. For the 6.0 to 6.2 upgrade, I selected the upgrade all packages option and did not customize the resulting package list. Also of note is that my upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2 was by hand (e.g. not via booting the 6.2 media), because the new Sony Vaios only have a USB floppy and don't ship with a CD-ROM drive. Did the samba-common package end up installed? closed, lack of input. |
