Description Sankar Ramalingam 2014-02-15 07:17:43 UTC
Description of problem: Running gluster --help command throws "unrecognized option --help".

[root@desktop72 20]# gluster -h
unrecognized word: -h (position 0)
[root@desktop72 20]# gluster --help
unrecognized option --help

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): glusterfs-server-3.5.0-0.5.beta3.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible: Consistently

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install glusterfs-server on Fedora 20
2. Start gluster services
3. Run "gluster --help" or gluster -h, to print what options available for gluser.

It doesn't print the options for the gluster command

Actual results: Fails to print the help/usage for gluster command.

Expected results: gluster command should successfully print the help/usage.

Additional info:

glusterfs --help command works

Also, gluster promot shows help properly.

[root@desktop72 20]# gluster
gluster> help
volume info [all|<VOLNAME>] - list information of all volumes
--
--
quit - quit
help - display command options
exit - exit

pre-release version is ambiguous and about to be removed as a choice.

If you believe this is still a bug, please change the status back to NEW and choose the appropriate, applicable version for it.
