Another user experienced a similar problem:

Playing Rhythmbox through the PulseAudio equalizer plugin and redirecting that through Bluetooth to an external speaker.  Pulseaudio crashed when I turned off the speaker.

Fixed upstream with this fix (in rawhide but not in f20)
