Description of problem:
sparse-0.4.5-rc1 which is currently shipped in Fedora generates over 12,000 nuisance warnings on the Linux kernel.  This is fixed upstream in sparse 0.5.0.

Sigh...thanks for pointing out that there has been a release. I didn't see any mention of it on the mailing list, nor any tarballs on kernel.org.

World's most secret release? In any case, I used git archive to generate a tarball and am doing package builds now. Stay tuned..

* was pushed to the Fedora 19 testing repository,
