Description František Zatloukal 2014-03-02 21:47:56 UTC
Description of problem:
DND behavior is a bit weird in GTK3 Firefox. If some (=any) item is placed somewhere to the Firefox window it remains on that place until is Firefox closed. That item is visible even if Firefox's window is minimized.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-gtk3-30.0-2.fc21.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always (may behave correctly on different systems/GPUs)

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Drag some item from web page or tab
2.Put it anywhere where it shouldn't be put (no drop area)

Actual results:
Item remains on that place "forever".

Expected results:
Item should return to original place with some eye-candy animation.

Additional info:
May depend on the system, tested on:
GPU: Intel GMA 3150
Driver: xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.21.15-13.fc21.x86_64 (SNA)
DE: Gnome Shell 3.11.90
Firefox is HW accelerated with OpenGL 2.1.

Can you provide me some reproducer? A web page where you see that. I'm unable to reproduce it, the return animation works for me.

It happens everywhere, For example, even if no page is opened (just 2 blank) and I drag one of them somewhere it stays there.
