Description Adrián 2014-03-03 18:53:14 UTC
Description of problem:

In gnome-shell, there are no options in qBittorent's 'right-click' menu.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
qBittorrent-3.1.15

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start qbittorrent
2.Open gnome shell's launcher.
3.Right click on qBittorrent icon.
4.No "Add to favourites" (or "New window") option.

Actual results:
The right click menu for qBittorrent doesn't have any options.

Expected results:
Cited options should appear in the menu.

Additional info:

This bug is surely caused by the patch that proposed in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=998265

In this patch a wrapper script was added in order to override an environment variable. As a result, when qBittorent is running, gnome recognizes it as 'qbittorrent-bin' which doesn't have a .desktop file and therefore cannot be added to favourites.

I suggest removing the wrapper script and modifying the .desktop file instead:

Exec=env TMPDIR=/var/tmp qbittorrent %U

I'm not completely sure if this could cause a regression of the other bug. At least for me, it didn't.

This also fixed some I/O Errors that I was having when opening torrent files from nautilus (as commented in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=998265#c24). I don't really know why.
