Description Mike Conner 2014-03-05 20:48:49 UTC
Title: Starting the server

Describe the issue:

In following the procedures for installing the BPM Generic zip (not on an EAP server), the standalone.sh file is not loaded anywhere. In addition, the SERVER_HOME environment variable is not specified for this configuration.

Suggestions for improvement:

Clearly identify all directories and files are correct for all configurtions (EAP or JBoss Web Server).

Additional information:

Overall, these instructions are not designed for a first time user who want's to quickly use the product. It would be better to have all needed files for a default working configuration which can be installed and then provide details to customize where needed.

Thanks for reporting this. I have made changes to the topic to clarify that the instructions are for EAP and installer and not for the generic deployable version.

This can now be verified here [1].

I have noted your points for a first time user who wants to quickly get on with install and running BPMS. Our Getting Started Guide covers these points, IMO.

Please refer to this section [2]. Please reopen bug if you think that section is not enough.

Moving to ON_QA.
