Description Richard W.M. Jones 2014-03-06 21:58:30 UTC
Description of problem:

Nested KVM (on Intel -- VMX) has been broken in Fedora for ages.
However recently Paolo Bonzini found a fix for at least the
major problem affecting most users:

http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.stable/82043/raw

The fix is about to go upstream.

Please can we include this patch in the Fedora 20 kernel.

Yes. It already went into the 3.13.6 stable release with:

commit 92cb6f3c5533832aa70a7dc9326ef21270169583

    commit 1b385cbdd74aa803e966e01e5fe49490d6044e30 upstream.

we'll be rebasing to that today.

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 20 kernel bugs.

Fedora 20 has now been rebased to 3.14.4-200.fc20. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 3 Richard W.M. Jones 2014-05-21 19:53:41 UTC
Patch is included upstream.
