Description Michal Jaegermann 2014-03-15 16:52:40 UTC
Description of problem:

After an update of lightdm-gtk a new element showed up on the right-hand side of a top panel. Namely a small GNOME logo with an inscription "aa_DJ.utf8" besides it. A closer examination reveals a pop-up list with what looks like a long list of environments to choose. A sorting seems to be, ahem, somewhat idiosyncratic, with "Albanian" and "Chinese" at pretty closing positions and it takes a quite a while to get there. It apparently does not matter, though, as whater is chosen from that list does not seem to have any effect on a session. Is it possible to have there at least displayed the configured locale instead of "Afar-Djibouti" (I am guessing that this is a meaning of displayed)? Checking lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf did not leave me much wiser.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lightdm-gtk-1.8.2-1.fc21

For some reason you need to logout/login a second time, than seesion language is changed. In this way it works with mate desktop.
