Is there any news on this topic? dar-2.4.15 is available applicable to this version? The pkg-config file is part of the upstream for some time now and also in 2.4.15. So it is applicable to this version. But it seems not to be part of the libdar-devel-2.4.15-1.fc22 package. The file should be located at: %{_libdir}/pkgconfig/libdar.pc Can you include it to the package? I had a look at the spec file of the packet: http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/dar.git/tree/dar.spec It seems like the pkgconfig files are removed after building dar: # Remove the libtool archive files (??) rm -rf $RPM_BUILD_ROOT/%{_libdir}/pkgconfig/ rm -f $RPM_BUILD_ROOT/%{_libdir}/*.la Is there a special need to remove these files? Tobias, static libraries aren't permitted in Fedora, see this link for further details http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Guidelines#Packaging_Static_Libraries_2 on the other hand, luis, you should put in the package the pkgconfig file Please excuse me for being ambiguous. It was not my intention to add the static library to the packet. It was just about the pkgconfig file. dar-2.4.15-2.fc20 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 20. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.fc20 dar-2.4.15-2.el6 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 6. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.el6 dar-2.4.15-2.fc19 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 19. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.fc19 dar-2.4.15-2.fc21 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 21. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.fc21 dar-2.4.15-2.el7 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 7. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.el7 dar-2.4.15-2.el5 has been submitted as an update for Fedora EPEL 5. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/dar-2.4.15-2.el5 Package dar-2.4.15-2.fc21: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 21 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
