probably a problem in the dialog-to-docsURL mapping file.
Jodi, we need an updated mapping file with the correct mapping. thanks.

Comment 2 Greg Sheremeta 2014-04-02 12:57:20 UTC
I can update the URL and resend to Kiril. I don't think we need Jodi for anything.

In general I would like to avoid us updating this mapping; I assume the docs team hold their own version of the mapping (which currently contains the wrong URL), and I would like to avoid a possible situation in which, at some point, they will override the correct URL (that you fixed) with their old (and wrong) URL.

Only one person/team should update the URLs, otherwise we may end up in "conflicts".

Comment 5 Greg Sheremeta 2014-04-22 14:54:47 UTC
docs team committed to using my git repo as the only official source of the mapping file, so I fixed.

Comment 9 Einav Cohen 2014-07-27 16:07:53 UTC
This BZ was fixed in 3.4.0-1, however was NOT included in the (already shipped) 3.4.0-1 rhevm-doc errata [1] by mistake.

@Gil: Any chance of verifying it anyway?

@Tomas: Since this is missing from the errata/release-notes/etc. for 3.4.0-1, is there anything that you can do (e.g. update KB or similar) in order to document this fix?

Many thanks in advance.

Comment 10 Gil Klein 2014-07-27 19:18:35 UTC
@Pavel - could you please verify this BZ?

Comment 11 Greg Sheremeta 2014-07-27 22:14:16 UTC
@Gil,

To test / verify:

Open the Edit Template dialog

Click the ? (help) icon

If the new window has 'https://<fqdn>/ovirt-engine/docs/manual/<locale>/html/Administration_Guide/chap-Templates.html' as the URL, it is working correctly.

Comment 12 Tomas Dosek 2014-07-28 06:57:24 UTC
Relevant content was added as a part of Knowledgebase solution #1144463. This should hopefully suffice until the permanent fix is shipped live.

Hi Tomas, please note that the permanent fix *is already shipped live* as part of the 3.4.0-1 rhevm-doc package - the only problem is that this BZ is not part of the relevant errata (and will not be part of any other errata, for that matter) due to a procedural mistake on our side;
therefore, I am asking to document somewhere (not sure where, KB was just a suggestion) that this BZ *is fixed* as of 3.4.0-1. thanks.

[@Pavel - please see comment #10, comment #11; thanks]

Comment 15 Tomas Dosek 2014-07-28 12:20:27 UTC
Indeed Einav. Thanks for pointing it out I repaired the solution article.

Thanks, Tomas - I appreciate it.

Comment 18 Einav Cohen 2014-07-29 16:50:56 UTC
moving to CLOSED ERRATA (even though this BZ doesn't really belong to the errata to which it should belong [1]).
Tomas made sure that there is a solution article available for this (fixed) issue.
