Description Michal Schmidt 2014-04-03 13:55:08 UTC
Description of problem:
I am unable to build tpm-tools in Koji. tpm-tools BuildRequires opencryptoki-devel. The Koji build fails with:

DEBUG util.py:281: Error unpacking rpm package opencryptoki-3.0-9.fc20.x86_64
DEBUG util.py:281: error: unpacking of archive failed on file /var/lock/opencryptoki: cpio: mkdir
DEBUG util.py:281: error: opencryptoki-3.0-9.fc20.x86_64: install failed

For the full log, see:
http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/getfile?taskID=6702795&name=root.log

I tried f20 and f21 builds and they both failed with the same error.

For some reason I am not seeing this error with local mockbuilds.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
opencryptoki-3.0-9.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Try to rebuild tpm-tools in Koji.
2.
3.

Actual results:
Build fails with the above error in root.log.

Expected results:
Build succeeds.

hm, this is the problem with the tmpfs backed directories (/run & co) not being created in the chroots, it has been already solved AFAIK. It might be that koji still uses older mock than your workstation.

Comment 2 Michal Schmidt 2014-07-24 13:05:04 UTC
It works now for F21 Koji builds, but not for F20. The difference is due to systemd now creating the tmpfiles in F21 in %post. Bug 1101983 and discussions in the BZs referenced from there explain a lot.
I'll see if we can have systemd do the same thing in F20.
