Description of problem:
Under XFCE, and Gnome classic, I am finding that the menu bar disappears from audacity. The only way to make it re-appear is to resize the window. I am not sure what actually triggers it disappearing. 

I notice that audacity 2.0.5 relase notes list this fix: "Applied fix for wxGTK 2.8.12 bug which resulted in loss of Audacity's menu bar (or visual corruption under Unity) on Debian-based systems." (http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.0.5)

Is it possible to backport that fix or update to 2.0.5 (which brings other bug fixes too) for F20?

* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 20 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing audacity-2.0.5-2.fc20'
as soon as you are able to.

audacity-2.0.5-2.fc20 has been pushed to the Fedora 20 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

Hi David - sorry have been travelling, but just tried this package now, and it seems to have resolved the issue as far as I can see. Thanks for the update.
