This has actually been on my todo list for a while: o Fedora wine and wine-stable o EPEL wine and wine-devel however this is not as trivial as one might think depending on the decision to actually have both versions parallel installable to some degree. I hope I can get some time to continue my work (test version of wine stable is sitting on my workstation). Hi Andreas, I managed to get Wine-1.7.30.i686 to compile (FINALLY) on SL 6.5, x64. It was not easy as the config file reports all kind of bogus errors about dependencies (they report the wrong things missing). If you decide to upgrade EPEL's Wine rpm and you are interested, I can copy my notes to this bug report for you. Took me forever to figure out what dependencies were actually missing and to get them all installed to the point that Wine was happy. By the way, their cryptic note about not finding an audio drivers (whilst you listen to music) means that your are missing alsa-lib-devel-1.0.22-3.el6.i686 -T EL6 is too old at this point to consider anything newer. Upgrade to RHEL7 and enjoy Wine 3.0, which is already in the repo. |
