Description Isaac Lenton 2014-04-23 12:27:54 UTC
Description of problem:
When starting eog from gnome-terminal, images can be specified on the command line, tab file-name completion is enabled for most common image formats but not for .pgm files. Gnome-terminal recognises .pgm as image files (highlighting is enabled), but tab completion for eog does not. I'm unsure if tab completion and highlighting of image files is gnome-terminal/eog related or a Fedora specific bash script, but it would be good to have consistency between different gnome products.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Current version in package manager on both Fedora 20 and rawhide.

How reproducible:
Type "eog " followed by first couple of character of image file name, hit tab, file name is completed if common image file (but not .pgm).

Actual results:
Image file name not auto-completed.

Expected results:
Image file name is auto-completed for .pgm files.

I have no idea why this would happen. eog doesn't ship a bash-completion script so I guess it's something going wrong in bash-completion itself. Reassigning to bash-completion.

The same problem exists for .ppm files.

Fixed upstream. In the future, create new Bugzilla issues instead of reusing old, closed ones where things are quite likely to fall through the cracks.
