I get a frozen image on Fedora 19, kernel 3.14.4-100.fc19.x86_64, using xine and mythtv. I have: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Booting kernel-3.13.11-100.fc19.x86_64, it works fine. On a VMware system, video playback works fine. This might be a duplicate of bug 1094519 FWIW: - CPU is a i5-4570 (Haswell) w/ Intel HD Graphics 4600 - 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06) - From /proc/cpuinfo cpu family : 6 model : 60 model name : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz stepping : 3 microcode : 0x17 - kaffeine is also affected (I haven't tried mythtv or xine). *********** MASS BUG UPDATE ************** We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 20 kernel bugs. Fedora 20 has now been rebased to 3.17.2-200.fc20. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel. If you have moved on to Fedora 21, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 21. If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those. This bug is being closed with INSUFFICIENT_DATA as there has not been a response in over 3 weeks. If you are still experiencing this issue, please reopen and attach the relevant data from the latest kernel you are running and any data that might have been requested previously. |
