Description Albert Strasheim 2000-04-23 20:32:26 UTC
Hello,

<rant>WAKE UP AND FIX THIS</rant>

I've reported various manifestations (sp?) of this issue since 6.0. Please
come right and do something about it now.

Okay, the problem is simple:

kppp can't connect to a local Xserver when the following is set
in /etc/security/console.apps/kppp:

SESSION=true

When SESSION=false, it runs locally, but not remotely.

This is providing me with INTENSE frustration, as it means that I can't
have all my users on all my machines with X (and Win32 Xservers for that
matter) controlling my little modem with the minimum of fuss (no damn
diald or pppd weirdness for me, thanks).

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

This is a generic problem with consolehelper apps, reassigning
