Description of problem:
Currently the package profile of a system is only updated every 4 hours.  This means you can:

* Install a package
* uninstall a package
* install an errata

and you will not see the action reflected in the system package profile or applicable errata list until up to 4 hours later.

not sure if this should be implemented in katello agent or rhsm.  rhsm would make the most sense, but due to the issue of updating clients, maybe katello agent would be best.  It would know when packages are installed/updated/removed through katello.

I was trying to verify this bz with sat6 beta snap9 compose2, but not sure what changed have been made and where. I can still see the certCheckInterval time to 240 min (4 hours) for rhsmcertd in /etc/rhsm/rhsm.conf on client.


@Justin, Request you to please share steps to verify this bz.

Steps to verify:

1.  Register a client to a sat6 server
2.  Ensure that katello-agent is installed 
3.  Subscribe host to some repository with content
4.  Go to packages tab
5.  Note package list

Perform one of the following:

a)  Package install
b)  Package remove
c)  errata install (from errata tab)
d)  package group install
e)  package group remove

6.  Go back to the package list

Any changes that occured (package remove/install) should immediately be reflected in the package list.

I followed the steps as you suggested in comment7 with sat6 beta snap10. 

I tried package install/remove also package group install/remove. In both cases, the changes immediately reflected in he package list.

This was delivered with 6.0.3, which is the Satellite 6 Beta.
