No chance. If its not good enough for upstream, why would it be good enough for Fedora ? And after the recent fiasco this patch caused at Mandrakesoft, I think we're better off avoiding this for the time being. Exaclty what FIASCO was created? cdrecord got forked into wodim and we should be supporting this with newer kernels.It is an INDUSTRY STANDARD for rewriteable media.If you ask me, it should be ON by default and DISABLED at user request.Mind you, might have to lock the drive until write cycle finishes.Generating an ISO is so yesterday.User should be able to create one on the fly.Especially true with XL media. |
