We are allowing it to connect to the local xserver, so allowing it to connect to the remote xserver makes sense. back ported. selinux-policy-3.12.1-167.fc20 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 20. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/selinux-policy-3.12.1-167.fc20 Package selinux-policy-3.12.1-167.fc20: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 20 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Description of problem: I was using ssh to this box. tried to play media. SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/totem-video-thumbnailer from 'name_connect' accesses on the tcp_socket . ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ************************** If you believe that totem-video-thumbnailer should be allowed name_connect access on the tcp_socket by default.
