Cause is -Werror=format-security in bug 1037177.

as the upstream release with the fix is somehow delayed, I wanted to backport it for the F21 branch

unfortunately, bug #1109956 blocks me from working with F21 branch, and trying to use git directly, I must be doing something wrong as my HEAD is always getting detached ... any help appreciated

git checkout f21

that will allow you to switch branches. if your HEAD is getting detached you must have something in your git config that is causing it.
