Comment 4 Paolo Bonzini 2014-06-12 14:28:03 UTC
This is because systemtap stopped supporting the -fPIC option:

libtool: compile: dtrace -G -s trace/generated-tracers.dtrace -fPIC -DPIC -o trace/.libs/generated-tracers.o
/usr/bin/dtrace invalid option -fPIC

This will not be needed anymore in QEMU 2.1.

Comment 6 Cole Robinson 2014-06-15 22:23:43 UTC
I'm backporting the libcacard patches that allow us to drop the offending dtrace invocation. So this will be fixed shortly

Comment 7 Cole Robinson 2014-06-16 15:35:07 UTC
Fixed in qemu-2.0.0-7.fc21
