Description Krystian 2014-06-11 08:36:24 UTC
Description of problem:

After updated systemd from systemd-208-9.fc20.x86_64 to systemd-208-16.fc20.x86_64, shutting down takes about more or less 1 minute.

Shutdown freeze this 1 minute on process: "A stop job is running for Session 1 of user _user_name_"

After ~1 minute shutdown process is continued and machine is powered off.

Actual workaround is: "yum downgrade systemd libgudev1 systemd-python systemd-libs systemd-python3". Downgrade is to systemd-208-9.fc20.x86_64. On that version of systemd - everything seems to be OK.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): systemd-208-16.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible: Everytime on systemd-208-16.fc20.x86_64

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora 20
2. Updating from systemd-208-9.fc20.x86_64 to systemd-208-16.fc20.x86_64
3. Log in to system (in my case - GNOME3)

Actual results:

System shutdown usually takes only few seconds to powered off computer (in my case - Lenovo B570e). After systemd-208-16.fc20.x86_64 update, shutdown takes ~1 minute to complete and hangs this time on: "A stop job is running for Session 1 of user _user_name_ "

Expected results:

Shutting down in a few seconds, just like before.

Additional info: my laptop is Lenovo B570e and it seems, that this issue was reported before/is known (links are in topic): http://www.forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=299411

Bug(?) still exist on systemd-208-17.fc20.x86_64.

It's strange, because on my PC everything is OK. Problem with long shutdown and "A stop job is running for Session 1 of user _user_name_" is on my laptop (Lenovo B570e).
