Description Martin Kosek 2014-06-11 14:57:41 UTC
This bug is created as a clone of upstream ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/freeipa/ticket/3799

Delete buttons near entries in multivalued widgets are displayed even when user doesn't have write rights for that attribute. Clicking on them causes exception.

Buttons should not be visible in such case.

Comment 1 Martin Kosek 2014-06-11 15:23:20 UTC
This request is already fixed in upstream FreeIPA project. Please refer to the linked ticket for additional details and related commits.

Comment 3 Varun Mylaraiah 2015-01-21 08:37:55 UTC
Issue is still reproducible. Hence, reopening the bug.

IPA Version:
ipa-server-4.1.0-15.el7.x86_64

Steps followed:
===============
1. As Admin, added 5 users (namely testuser1, testuser2,...,testuser5)
2. Created new netgroup called "newnetgrp"
3. Added users(testuser2 testuser3,..) under "User category" in "newnetgrp"
4. For testuser1 I assigned the role "IT-Specialist" (this role does not
have Netgroup administrator privileges)
5. As testuser1 ==> Navigate to netgroup.
7. Selected users under "User category" using checkbox. [After selecting
users delete button got enabled (which should not happen as per the bug
description.) Ref the screen shot "Delete_button.png" for further
information]
8. Clicking on delete button results in error message stating
"Insufficient access.....", refer screen shot
"Insufficient_Permission.png" for further information

Please let me know if I am missing anything.

Comment 6 Martin Kosek 2015-01-27 07:55:33 UTC
Ok, this looks as a valid bug, I filed upstream ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/freeipa/ticket/4870

Comment 10 Petr Vobornik 2015-07-17 13:13:10 UTC
Unlinking upstream ticket #4870 (issue from comment 3) because this issue is not related this BZ (but looks similar). Therefore the FAILED_QA is invalid and this bz was actually fixed in version ipa-4.0.3-1.el7, i.e. RHEL 7.1.

Comment 12 Abhijeet Kasurde 2015-09-22 13:29:30 UTC
Could you please add steps to verify this bug?

Comment 13 Petr Vobornik 2015-10-06 16:36:43 UTC
1. Create 2 non-admin users, e.g. "fbar" and "bbar", set password for "fbar"
2. Login to Web UI as fbar
3. Click on users tab to show list of users
4. Navigate to "bbar" details page
5. Check that "Email address" field doesn't have "delete" button visible.

Comment 14 Abhijeet Kasurde 2015-10-07 08:51:50 UTC
Verified.
