Fixed In Version: 389-ds-base-1.3.3.1-1.el7 Doc Type: Bug Fix
Doc Text:
Cause: Syntax plugins are loaded during bootstrapping, but in that phase already attributes are handled e.g. in dse and schema files and no proper way to normalize or compare values is provided. Consequence: The sorted results of multi-attribute values in schema and dse would be invalid. Fix: Default syntax plugin is added. Result: The sorted results of dse and schema are now in the right order.

Description Noriko Hosoi 2014-06-13 18:44:49 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #1109373 +++

This bug is created as a clone of upstream ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/389/ticket/47369

the real syntax plugins are available only after the syntax plugins are registered, but when bootstrapping or reading the schema already attributes and values are created (and could als be compared). To avoid spcial fallbacks like using strcasecmp a default syntax plugin should be available at startup to avoid extras
