Unfortunately, different CD drives have different tolerances for marginal media. If the mediacheck is failing, then the install is not expected to succeed. Booting with 'linux ide=nodma' or 'linux allowcddma' may help in cases with some hardware, but in general, I'd recommend reburning at a lower speed. |
