Description Petr Spacek 2014-06-25 08:56:15 UTC
Latest version of python-dns is necessary for proper DNSSEC and IDN support in FreeIPA 4.1.

Python-dns development is focused on bug fixing so rebase seems safer than backporting.

Comment 2 Martin Kosek 2014-06-26 09:02:20 UTC
As this is required for Identity Management new capabilities, adding as a blocker for Bug 71ProposedLP.

Comment 6 Petr Spacek 2014-09-01 11:32:22 UTC
I'm sorry for not mentioning it before: The new package has to include latest master branch up to https://github.com/rthalley/dnspython/commit/fcde73a2b6c323e55eaf74192885b2d4922a719a. Anything newer is fine.

Latest 'released' upstream version is too old because is was released on September 2, 2013.

Thank you for understanding.

Comment 7 Bohuslav "Slavek" Kabrda 2014-09-01 12:46:15 UTC
I rebased to latest upstream master, which is currently this commit: https://github.com/rthalley/dnspython/commit/9329daf40d252f25597f44d5e1db8347304d707f

Comment 8 Petr Spacek 2014-09-01 15:08:33 UTC
Thank you very much, Slavek. I'm really sorry for the mistake.
