Description Yaniv Kaul 2014-07-07 18:17:03 UTC
Description of problem:
http://openstack.redhat.com/Testing_IceHouse_using_Tempest neglects to mention it, but trying to get Tempest working on a fully updated CentOS 6.5 fails, when it tried to compile something that requires libffi-devel package to be installed (I can only reckon I was lucky gcc was already installed!)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
IceHouse.

I notice there's a hint of having libffi-devel' necessary (and I looked up the document history, it was there _before_ this bug report):

"libxslt-devel and libffi-devel might be required for creating the venv."

You can add 'gcc' btw. I think it's also required.

There is now openstack-tempest RPM in RDO repos which can be used instead of installing tempest from git.
See howto in https://github.com/redhat-openstack/tempest/blob/master/README.rpm
