Description Răzvan Sandu 2014-07-10 00:23:45 UTC
Hello,

Description of problem:

Please upgrade the tor package in EPEL for EL7, since it's very old.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
tor-0.2.4.22-2.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Check the latest tor package in EPEL for EL7, available at http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/beta/7/x86_64/repoview/tor.html . At the moment of reporting this, the package is tor-0.2.4.22-2.el7.x86_64

2. Check the current tor version, which is currently 3.6.2 https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en

3. Compare version numbers.

Actual results:
Tor package is old, despite being a package that deals with security and online anonimity.

Expected results:
Tor package should be a more recent version.

Thanks,
Răzvan

Tor is not the same as Tor Browser. They have completely separate version numbers.

Closing.
