Description David Boeren 2014-07-11 17:21:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Our system uses RAM drives to house our JBoss servers and these have limited space which must be allocated on creation. JBoss EAP 6.2.4 has already grown in footprint to about 50% larger than the initial release and we are worried about exceeding our disk space.

We would like to see an option added to the patch installer to remove no longer used jars which have been overridden by the patch jars in order to preserve disk space. We realize that this will prevent us from being able to roll back to earlier patch versions and are OK with that.

Comment 1 Emanuel Muckenhuber 2014-07-14 09:29:59 UTC
There already is a managed operation for this: "/core-service=patching:ageout-history", which removes not used patches from the history.

Comment 3 Dimitris Andreadis 2015-02-03 21:03:11 UTC
re-assign Emanuel's assigned bugs to Brian.
