This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Description of problem: Since a few weeks, avahi-daemon logs a lot of warnings: "server.c: Packet too short or invalid while reading known answer record. (Maybe a UTF-8 problem?)" Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.6.31 How reproducible: Watch the log -- but the problems is shown when then are certain other devices around that (apparently) use bonjour/zeroconf in a way that avahi does not like. Have not seen any adverse effects other than the log so far though. Steps to Reproduce: 1. watch the log Actual results: Lots of warnings. Expected results: No warnings. Interestingly, it seems wireshark also sees at least some of these packets as 'malformed'.
