I was not able to recreate this. If you are able to hit it again, please ssh into the gear and directly run the jbossews/bin/control <stop/restart> commands to see if it provides any more useful output. i can recreate this easily. below is my steps and the log attached after the steps. 1. rhc setup --server -l fli $ rhc app create jbossewsapp jbossews-2.0 -s -g medium $ rhc app show jbossewsapp --state Cartridge haproxy-1.4, jbossews-2.0 is started $ rhc app-restart jbossewsapp Failed to execute: 'control restart' for /var/lib/openshift/53d9e4b624cc410a3a000001/jbossews Looks like we sometimes kill the parent process before the child, and then still try to kill the child and fail, causing the error. not sure what it has to do w/ medium/large gears or scaled apps, i'd expect this could be hit anywhere. could recreate it with non-scaled and scaled apps in medium/ large gears Verified on devenv_5035, can restart and stop jbossews medium/large non_scaled/scaled app well, so verified this bug, thanks. |
